Report: Gut-Wrenching New Details About Sean Connery’s Last Days and Death Are Revealed

It’s been nearly a month since the original James Bond himself Sean Connery tragically passed away at the age of 90. Now, new details about Connery’s death have come to light.

Connery’s death certificate, which was just obtained by TMZ, has confirmed that he died of pneumonia, heart problems and “old age.” The document states that he died at his home in the Bahamas at 1:30am on October 31, and his occupation is listed as “retired actor.”

Connery’s death certificate lists his cause of death as “pneumonia, respiratory failure, old age [and] atrial fibrillation,” the latter being an irregular heart rate that can increase the risk of blood clots, strokes and heart failure.

This comes after Connery’s widow Micheline revealed that his final months were blighted by dementia, which had taken a serious toll on him by the end.

“It was no life for him,” Micheline told Daily Mail. “He was not able to express himself latterly. At least he died in his sleep and it was just so peaceful. I was with him all the time and he just slipped away. It was what he wanted. He had dementia and it took its toll on him. He got his final wish to slip away without any fuss.”

Micheline, a 91 year-old Moroccan-French painter, met Connery at a golf course in Scotland in 1970, and she would go on to become his second wife.

“He was gorgeous and we had a wonderful life together,” she said. “He was a model of a man. It is going to be very hard without him, I know that. But it could not last for ever and he went peacefully.”

Micheline also said that she would honor his final wishes with what she plans to do with his ashes.

“We are going to bring Sean back to Scotland – that was his final wish,” Micheline said, according to People Magazine.

“He wanted his ashes to be scattered in the Bahamas and also in his homeland,” she added. “Whenever it is possible and safe to travel again, then it is the family’s intention to return to Scotland with him. We would like to organize a memorial service for him in Scotland – that is our hope. But we cannot say when this will happen exactly.”
