North Carolina Police Officer Among 5 Fatally Shot, Suspect Arrested After Manhunt

The suspect of a shooting that killed five people including an off-duty police officer in North Carolina’s capital city on Thursday has been taken into custody after a manhunt, according to police.
Raleigh Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin confirmed that five people were killed when a gunman opened fire just after 5 p.m. at the Neuse River Greenway in east Raleigh.
Another police officer was among those transported to an area hospital, but did not have life-threatening injuries, she said. The officer was later released while one person remains in critical condition.
In an update at around 10.45 p.m., Lt. Jason Borneo of the Raleigh Police Department said the suspect is a male juvenile who was arrested at around 9.37 p.m….
