Q&A With Lisa LaBue, Republican Candidate for New York’s 100th Assembly District

Lisa LaBue, a former small business owner and banking professional, is running in the 100th assembly district, which covers most of Sullivan County and part of Orange County, including Middletown and Wallkill.
The Republican candidate will face Democratic incumbent Aileen Gunther in the Nov. 8 general election.
LaBue spoke with The Epoch Times on Oct. 31. The interview has been edited for brevity and clarity.
The Epoch Times: Why did you decide to run for the state assembly?
LaBue: During the pandemic, I was working at a bank and doing PPP loans for small businesses and saw how they were overlooked. We had mandates that made no sense to me. It just started building a fire inside me….
