A New Cold War, an Old Playbook for Victory

This week, Secretary of State Antony Blinken traveled to China to discuss the rapidly deteriorating relationship between our two countries. It’s safe to say the People’s Republic of China is the United States’ largest global competitor, both militarily and economically. Despite the differences, we have, for a number of years, enjoyed an uneasy détente due to our interconnected markets. Those days, however, are coming to an end, and the Biden administration seems to lack the willpower to stop what’s coming next—war.
If you watched any coverage this week of Blinken’s trip abroad, you might be led to believe his conversations with China achieved some level of success. Sadly, nothing could be further from the truth….
